The presentation will introduce some human performance that can help system engineers build safer and more effective systems.
After a brief introduction to a few human factors considerations and some models of
human performance, Mr. Mack will present some examples and how better human factors engineering might have led to different outcomes; he will also provide a couple examples of incidents that show there are still some ‘tough problems’ designing for safe and effective human operation of systems. The talk is intended to be interactive and is focused at system engineering practitioners.
